About HK Wine Adventures

WHY HK WINE ADVENTURES WAS CREATED?

I was very intimidated by wine, I was literally clueless. I would rely on others to order wine at bars and restaurants as I didn’t want to make a fool out of myself. On my travels, I was determined to tackle this as I wanted to understand my tastes, feel more confident and move to a wine island.

I studied for the WSET exams. The tutors were thorough but I found the experience in Hong Kong stuffy and soulless. We all sat in silence for hours as we sipped our wines! This wasn’t how I wanted it to be. Why couldn’t it be fun?

I wanted to create a fun and inclusive community that focused on educating and empowering through wine experiences. And here we are - HK Wine Adventures is alive and kicking.

WHAT WE DO: 

We host interactive, educational wine-tasting experiences with activities, games and prizes to encourage team building and build relationships with friends or clients.

We offer a range of wine-tasting events, including:

  • Corporate Events - from team building to client events

WHO IS IT FOR: 

Wine adventures are inclusive and welcoming, regardless of your existing level of knowledge. We have created them so that they are educational yet fun and that by the end you feel more confident and empowered about wine.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT:

1. Wine a little, laugh a lot. This is not your usual wine-tasting experience. The aim is to collaborate as a team and have fun - all levels of wine knowledge are welcomed. 

2. Attendees will leave more confident with themselves and with each other. An educational tasting experience where you learn all the basic and nuanced ways to taste and talk about wine.

3.  Activities and prizes. This is an interactive, immersive experience with games, quizzes and prizes!

Community is important to us

HK Wine Adventures is committed to building community and fostering relationships. We hope to achieve this in a number of ways:

1) Our events are inclusive and accessible to all regardless of background and wine knowledge

2) By creating an informal wine community called HK Wine Cru. This is an online and offline wine community where we share knowledge about wine and gather for informal wine events.

3) 5% of profits from all events will go to a charity partner.
